The Perfect Pizza

Not a very long time ago I thought that best pizzas in our country are available at Pizza Hut. Then something happened.
I read a book called American Pie. It transformed every thing. Creating a pizza at home is not only cost saving, it makes you change your whole concept.
Once you will learn about the simple yet complex substance called dough, and more importantly about how dough is transformed in the hands of its creator into pizza you will have a treat on your table and will make you instant celebrity among your friends.
The recipe and technique I am detailing here will evoke the full potential of flavor from the grain. The perfect pizza is and will always be, a work in progress as there are so many variations like Classic, modern,  avant-grade, you name it and then the permutations with toppings. Oh I am drifting to the maze of pizza world. Will leave it to another post and you must watch out for that,  it will be an interesting trail.
The first recipe is of a basic traditional Italian Pizza

Thanks Giving

Gosh I posted my first post. Now time for thanks giving, a habit rubbed on to me by a very special friends of mine. So I begin by thanking them as the main force and motivation behind most of the crazy things I have started lately. Off course by family of wifey and two big brats are egging me on to take the plunge. They have stoically faced the brunt of many tooth shattering and sometimes over or under baked loaves or cakes but always awaited the perfect one I promised in my next attempt.

My mother whose life starts and ends in the kitchen trying to dish out most delicious food in this world for her children and anyone who visited has been my early memories of what a place called kitchen can contribute to happiness quotient to lives of the creators of food.

Guess my list of living beings end here but how can in not mention my dear GOOGLE. The omni present teacher of all things.

Thank you all my dear readers of this blog who are going to ensure that this journey never ends and while moving on is able to benefit the readers their friends and more.

This is how it all started

Not much time has elapsed since the bug of cooking, in fact baking in particular had bitten this otherwise lazy me. But its a known fact that if you start something late it catches on with that much zest. And here I am sharing my journey (mostly turbulent) of baking with the readers who stumble upon my blog.
You must have guessed by now that writing is not my forte but I promise to cover my disability here with the information, techniques and methods which will make every home bakers lives fun and fruitful.
But before one takes up the interesting challenge of baking at home and that too with your house full of critiques in the form of Husbands, Wives, Children or elders, I must tell you that the journey is loaded with happiness and fun, especially when one witnesses their creations puff up full of airy holes promising a heavenly bite. Disasters do lurk at every corner but these make the fun quotient also shoot up as the challenges are conquered and failures turned into unprecedented success.
Read on the posts to follow and you will certainly find amazing cooking and baking secrets, creative recipes, useful shortcuts and above all learning to create items which you find packed in expansive bottles and jars on the shelves of grocery stores and hesitate to buy because of their price tag does not commensurate with the quantity offered.
So hop on and  do not hesitate to ask or request me things popping up in your heads and not listed in the blog. Help me to make this blog ever more helpful for the people like you.
